Alex Poole job shares the role of Intensive Care Research Manager at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, is Project Manager of the LUCID study, and a Project Officer on the TARGET Nutrition study. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Nursing Science with first class honours, graduate diploma of critical care, and graduate certificate of aero medical retrievals.
He has been working in clinical research since 2009 in both Intensive Care and Infectious Diseases, and has extensive experience in the management of clinical trials. Mr Poole has been invited to present at the Australian and New Zealand Intensive Care Research Coordinator Interest Group (IRCIG) workshops. Mr Poole is also an Affiliate Lecturer in the Discipline of Acute Care, School of Medicine, Faculty of Health Science at the University of Adelaide. Mr Poole is a member of several Management Committees for ANZICS-CTG endorsed clinical trials including REVISE and LUCID. His research interest includes nutrition delivery and blood glucose management in critically ill patients.
